In a statement, the prime minister’s spokesperson Dr Musadik Malik said that the federal government is very sincere in holding talks with the PTI for resolving the issues.
Dr Musadik said that no one can be allowed to spread violence and halt business activities.
PTI observes day of mourning on Tuesday
The PTI is observing a day of mourning on Tuesday in protest against the killing of its activist in Faisalabad on Monday.
The 22-year-old Haq Nawaz was killed when clashes erupted between the workers of the PTI and the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) amid PTI’s shutdown call in the textile city.
The PTI also called off talks with the government following the deadly clashes in Faisalabad.
In his address to a large crowd of workers and supporters gathered in Faisalabad on Monday evening, Imran Khan said that they will not let Haq Nawaz’s sacrifice go to waste.
“I will go to Lahore, Karachi. Nawaz Sharif, you have always used the police to oppress the people. We will free this country from these oppressive rulers,” Imran Khan said.
